Control Valve Field Service

Northwest Valve Systems separates, and prides itself from other “sales only” companies by offering full field services for the products we sell. This extends well past simple start up services, we “service what we sell” and our capabilities allow us to assist you in upgrades, system startup, troubleshooting and maintenance in the field long after the initial sale is made.

Personnel are confined space trained and we have a written company confined space policy and procedure system in place. Confined space equipment includes Personal Harnesses, Tripod, Blower and Gas Detectors to ensure the safe completion of any project located in a confined space.

Short piping spools and accessory valves and fittings are available to make retrofitting or upgrading easier. Both field fitting piping where required or pre built spools with epoxy coatings or in stainless steel are available options.

Have older valves in your system? Maintenance is Key.

Proper valve function is determined largely by the water being used in the piloting system. Older systems with uncoated steel pipe, manganese, iron or hard water can all affect the valve. Most valve operational problems stem back to dirty pilot lines or build up in the valve that causes mechanical binding or blockages in the pilot system.

Valve malfunction can usually be traced back to a lack of routine maintenance; typically the valves function flawlessly for years, thus they often become a forgotten part of the system. Until an event…. Planning routine maintenance with proper record keeping can ensure the potential for those events is minimized or eliminated.

If staffing issues prevent you from being able to routinely perform this maintenance, Northwest Valve can offer a range of services from assistance and training your crew to performing the complete scope of work. In some cases we may be able to provide EOCP training credits while the work is being done with your crew

Our factory trained and authorized service personnel combined with our large inventory of common parts and pilots ensures any service work returns your valve to as close to as new condition as possible. New valve construction includes Epoxy coating and SS internals which aid in ease of service more so than older, uncoated, valves. In certain cases it is economical to upgrade certain parts to epoxy coated/and or SS, which can add new life to your older valves.
